Capstone Alliance

Capstone Alliance is the campus organization for LGBTQIA+ faculty, staff and graduate students and their allies. Established in 2007, Capstone Alliance works to build community, conduct outreach and pursue advocacy in support of the LGBTQIA+ community. Queer Student Association

The purpose of the Queer Student Association is advocate for and advance the agenda of the LGBTQIA+ community within the State of Alabama and The University of Alabama by serving as a medium between the LGBTQIA+ community and allies to university administration. The organization’s goal is to foster understanding and education within the university and surrounding communities of LGBTQIA+ individuals and preventing discrimination against them. GRADient

GRADient is a student organization for LGBTQIA+ graduate students and their allies. GRADient provides community events and advocacy for LGBTQIA+ graduate students. PRISM

PRISM is a student organization created to provide LGBTQIA+ students of color with a community where they are welcomed and supported. oSTEM (Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)

OutLaw

OUTLaw is an organization of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual and ally members of The University of Alabama Law School community. Its goals are to provide a community and social network for LGBTQIA-identified people within the Law School, to provide opportunities and connections for member of the Law School community who are interested in LGBTQIA+ rights, to bring the Law School community’s attention to issues of special concern to the LGBT community, and to serve as a bridge between Alabama students, law school alumni, and the legal profession at large. UA MIS LGBTQ++

UA MIS LGBT++ is the first university-sanctioned LGBT organization within the Culverhouse College of Business. LGBT++ was created by UA MIS students for UA MIS students who identify within the LGBT spectrum (including allies). The goals of the group include creating visibility, fostering an LGBT and diverse community, and presenting students with unique opportunities (both professional and social) in a safe and all-inclusive environment.
